At OHSP, Rich Bryson develops, administers, and coordinates training for Homeland Security and Preparedness stakeholders and is the program manager for NJ Learn, the Emergency Responder E-learning Management System (LMS). Rich interacts with agencies of government and private sector partners in New Jersey, on matters of curriculum development, course design, and e-learning implementation. Prior to OHSP, Rich was a law enforcement officer for 29.5 years, with command experience in Support Services and Operations. Rich has a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Asian Studies, is a Certified Public Manager, and a certified NJ Police Training Commission Instructor.

NJOHSP was created in 2006 as a cabinet level agency. The Director serves as the Governor’s Homeland Security Advisor, responsible for leading and coordinating the State’s counterterrorism, cybersecurity, and emergency preparedness efforts while building resiliency across all levels of state government and the private sector.
