Show Me the Money: How to Determine ROI in People, Projects, and Programs
This session introduces the concept of ROI ultimate accountability as participants are exposed to the ROI Process. This includes developing objectives, collecting data, isolating the effects of the program, converting data to monetary values, tabulating appropriate program costs and calculating the ROI. Participants quickly see the advantage of using ROI, as six types of data are collected and analyzed. This session takes the mystery out of the use of ROI. This session is for anyone in an organization who is interested in knowing more about measuring the success of learning and development, particularly at the ROI level. An interactive, fun ROI quiz will highlight the myths and mysteries of ROI use.

The New Marketing Paradigm
Recently, the American Marketing Association changed its definition of marketing to "the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large". This exemplifies the importance marketing has taken within an organization and within a learning program. It is no longer enough to mass market to end users in the hopes of increasing utilization. Blended by Design: A Framework for Building Blended Learning Solutions
This workshop will provide a framework and process for designing advanced blended solutions. Using the Skillsoft Workplace Learning Model with its proprietary eight phase approach, we will provide the structure, process and tools for the selection of formal and informal training events and blended learning activities. Through instruction and collaboration program participants will create an actionable program design and will be provided with knowledge and tools to support implementation.

LMS Platforms: Deployment Options and Opportunities
Does your organization manage its Skillsoft content through a non-Skillsoft LMS? If so, this workshop is designed for you. This session will begin with a look at the recent changes within the rapidly changing talent space and how Skillsoft’s strategy ensures the utmost flexibility. The Skillsoft technical leaders will also provide a comprehensive look at Skillsoft’s latest web services capabilities via a demo from the Skillsoft iLab, where participants will be encouraged to ask questions and provide feedback on Skillsoft’s direction. The workshop will also provide details on how far the major learning management systems have integrated Skillsoft into their core product, and where you can help encourage them to go farther. During the exercise portion of the workshop, a set of focus groups will discuss what platform integrations are working well and which ones could be strengthened. Client case studies will also be shared. In order to get the most from this workshop, a technical degree is not required but attendees should have a solid understanding their organization’s deployment as well as a comfort level with the underlying technologies.

  • Explore the Learner and Administrator interfaces, user profile, "My Plan" and "My Progress" areas, "Search & Learn", InGenius and more
  • Create a more targeted user experience through configuration of the SkillPort site
  • Learn how to create and manage both users and groups and assign all content/asset types to learners and groups
  • Manage enrollments and waivers for learners within the organization
  • Create and view reports showing the learning activities of the organization
